Why this fellowship exists
Most first-time program leaders learn on the job, alone. Meridian pairs each fellow with working nonprofit leaders for twelve weeks of direct, practical sessions: fundraising, governance, volunteers, and a real capstone in front of real funders.
Meridian is built for people in their first two years of running a program, not founding a nonprofit from scratch. Most fellows already have a program running. They need the parts nobody taught them: how to ask for money, how to run a board meeting, how to keep volunteers past their first shift.
Six sessions over twelve weeks, every other Monday evening, in person. Each session is led by someone doing the work now, not a career trainer. The program ends with a capstone where every fellow presents the program they actually built to a room that includes real funders.
